In today's increasingly grim economic situation,the manufacturing industry across the world in the cold winter.In order to cope with the sluggish economic environment,enterprises must tighten operating costs and improve capital turnover to stay in the fierce market.At the same time,the competition between enterprises has changed from the single product competition to the supply chain competition between enterprises.In particular,sales enterprises are faced with a more complex market environment,and the efficiency of their supply chain directly affects the sales of products.Among them,inventory,as an important part of enterprise capital,has been highly valued by various enterprises.How to provide better service under the condition of limited capital occupation is the challenge that every enterprise faces.Improve inventory turnover,so as to improve the operating efficiency of the entire supply chain,while reaching the highest level of customer service,has become a key issue for enterprises to reduce operating costs.This paper is an empirical study on the operation and management of an overseas distribution center of an enterprise.Through field investigation and reading a lot of materials and literature,the advantages and disadvantages of the company's inventory control were discussed.From the perspective of integrated supply chain,sales,planning and procurement are summarized,and the problems existing in inventory control of AM company are concluded.The study found that the main problems of AM company are the company's own inventory control is not strong,procurement management chaos,sales staff on demand forecasting awareness is weak.This paper combines the current inventory management theory and technology based on the actual situation of enterprises,respectively from the enterprise itself,suppliers and sales three aspects to find solutions to the problem.This paper first classifies its inventory and adopts different management methods for different types of products.Then,according to different types of products,the method of combining qualitative and quantitative methods is adopted to establish an appropriate demand prediction process mechanism,and the validity of the prediction model is verified through the method of combining theoretical verification and data verification.At the same time,on the basis of demand forecast,combined with historical sales data,the establishment of safety inventory for scientific calculation.In addition,to solve the problem of low information transmission efficiency,enterprises can share the information of demand between the upstream and downstream links of the supply chain in real time through the SAP system,so as to establish a quick response mechanism and adopt a coordinated replenishment strategy.Starting from the early market demand prediction,this paper studies the establishment of safety inventory,analysis of its inventory structure and reasonable replenishment,so as to achieve the ultimate goal of optimizing inventory and saving operating costs.Through the analysis of AM company,research and summarize its inventory optimization and improvement methods to improve its operational ability.The problems existing in inventory management are representative in today's manufacturing enterprises.It is hoped that similar enterprises can learn something from it.reference.
