Research And Practice Of Tim Burton's Film Aesthetic Characteristics In Costume Design

Tim Burton's films,which are popular in the world with mysterious Gothic styles,such as Edward Scissor Hand,Zombie Bride,Guillotine Valley,Miss Pey's Fantasy Castle,and so on,have made Burton a representative of the Gothic style.In his works,he built a fantasy dark world with novel brain holes and magic hands like magicians,and opened Tim's magic window with alternative and novel perspectives.In this paper,from Burton's film aesthetic style as a starting point,in many of his works,the design style and aesthetic images in his works are discussed and analyzed,Finally,from the aesthetic point of view to explore its film unique Gothic style of clothing.In the composition of Tim's works,from the overall environmental atmosphere design,to each different character of the role,different styles of clothing and makeup,the characters are more three-dimensional.Burton did not create a perfect character in the creation and design of his works.Most of the characters were described by ghosts,zombies or small characters at the bottom in the eyes of the world.Although they had a bad face,they all had a kind and enthusiastic heart.Through the design collocation,the perfect fusion of the strange Gothic dress and the film style also shows the visual expression of Burton's works.Through the analysis of Tim Burton's film creation point,film aesthetic image,clothing,accessories and so on,this paper studies the aesthetic style of Tim Burton's works and discusses the influence and significance of clothing in the film.
