Aerosol not only plays an important role in the balance of the earth's energy budget but also has a huge impact on global and regional radiative forcing and climate change. The complexity, the diversity and optical properties of aerosol will have different environmental impacts.Aerosol pollution will seriously affect the air quality and people's life,so it is very important to study the impact of aerosol characteristics and transport mechanisms in the environment.Lidar can detect the distribution, vertical structure, which plays an irreplaceable role in the observation of the atmospheric boundary layer.Meanwhile, the aerosol backsactter and extinction coefficient can be used to analyze the optical and microphysical properties of aerosol. This paper introduces a set of high spectral resolution lidar(HSRL)based on iodine molecular filter, which was used to carry out airborne aerosol observation experiment. The microscopic characteristics of aerosol, the large-scale and short-term change of aerosol layer, and the distribution characteristics of aerosol particles was observed during the pollution process. The airborne aerosol results are compared with the equipments such as ground-based Mie lidar, spaceborne CALIPSO,MODIS.And the results are relatively consistent. The comparison results and airborne experiment have shown the reliability of the HSRL system for detecting aerosol. After that, the formation and transmission of pollutants and optical characteristics of aerosol particles were comprehensively analyzed by using multi-source data and airborne observation data. The distribution characteristics of the aerosol backscatter and extinction coefficient, depolarization ratio, lidar ratio and color ratio were studied. The HSRL was used to detect the particle characteristics in different area, which providing valuable information for the research of aerosol particle characteristics. The study of this paper has important significance for the use and promotion of airborne HSRL,and also has important reference significance and value for the country's ongoing spaceborne lidar development and satellite-to-ground verification after launch.
