Since 2015,the planning and construction of new rural communities were widely carried out in China. While promoting the change of farmers’ production and life style,it also suffers from the criticism of "simply applying the design concept of urban planning, lacking of research on the original location, economy, resources and other issues of the village",so it is urgent to improve the planning and construction of new rural communities. The construction of new rural communities has changed the production and life style of villagers and caused changes in Villagers’ travel. Therefore,we can explore the improvement of new rural communities from the perspective of villagers’ travel changes.Based on the in-depth analysis of the changes and advantages and disadvantages of villagers’ travel in new rural communities, this thesis puts forward some suggestions for improvement.Taking five new rural communities built in Shandong Province in recent four years as the research object, this thesis analyzes the travel changes of villagers living in the new rural communities by means of field research and department interviews. The thesis is divided into five parts and six chapters. The first part of the thesis is the first chapter, which is the basic research part of this thesis. This part mainly makes a comprehensive review of the research background, purpose and significance, research content, method and framework, relevant concepts and research review, summarizes the research direction, research angle and research content of the reasons for the change of villagers’ travel and villagers’ travel, and leads to the research focus of this thesis, namely, the study on the change of villagers’ travel after entering the new rural community. The second part is the second chapter.Based on the introduction of the selection of the investigation community, the design of the investigation content and the sample capacity analysis, the new rural community participating in the survey is taken as the whole, and the overall characteristics of the changes of the villagers’ travel are analyzed from the three aspects of travel space distribution, travel time consumption and travel mode. The third part of the thesis is the third and fourth chapters, which is the main part of this study. This part classifies the new rural communities and villagers according to different categories, and makes a comparative study from three aspects: Travel spatial distribution, travel time consumption and travel mode. The thesis studies the changes of the villagers’ travel from three aspects: different location, scale and different facilities; The thesis studies the travel changes of different types of villagers from different age groups, different family structure and different relocation distance. And the reasons and advantages and disadvantages of the changes of travel under different classification are summarized. The fourth part is the fifth chapter.Based on the analysis of the changes of villagers’ travel and their advantages and disadvantages after entering the new rural community, the thesis puts forward the feasible suggestions for improvement and improvement from the aspects of planning and location, construction scale and facilities supporting of the new rural community. The fifth part of the thesis is the sixth chapter, which is the conclusion part. This part summarizes the main conclusions of the changes of villagers’ travel after entering the new rural community, points out the innovation and deficiency of the research, provides reference for the study of the change of villagers’ travel in the future, and prospects the direction of further research in the future.Through the research,it is found that the change of villagers’ travel space is reflected in commuting and school travel; The larger change of travel time consumption is reflected in farming travel; The change of travel mode is reflected in farming travel and school travel.Based on the summary of the changes of villagers’ travel, this thesis puts forward the following suggestions for the planning of new rural communities from the perspective of travel: in terms of planning and site selection, comprehensively consider the farming radius and the trend of villagers’ travel motorization, optimize the site selection of new rural communities according to the travel time of villagers’ living and production activities According to the travel time consumption of villagers’ life and production activities, the location of new rural community is optimized; In terms of construction scale, the lower limit control of scale: the population scale of the new rural community should be able to support the normal operation of a six class primary school, and the upper limit control of scale: the population scale of the new rural community should be calculated according to the urbanization level and the rural population conversion rate;In terms of supporting facilities, the industrial facilities planning of new rural communities should focus on the employment needs of young people and core family labor force, and coordinate the scale and layout of public service facilities of new rural communities based on rural life circle.
