With the rapid growth of the population in the 21 st century, the power system of the previous generation has been unable to meet people's diversified demand for electricity,so the upgrade of the power system is imminent.Smart power grid has begun to enter people's lives, but a series of problems such as power resource shortage and smart power grid communication information theft occur frequently, and people's life and property security is threatened,so the construction of smart power infrastructure, smart power grid safe communication and other issues have been widely concerned by people.Based on elliptic curves and biometric characteristics,Akber Ali Khan et al.proposed a privacy protection authentication scheme applicable to smart grid communication.Through analysis,we found that their scheme could not run because some key information values were not saved in the database. Moreover, the scheme is vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks and impersonation attacks. In order to overcome the defects and shortcomings of Akber Ali Khan et al.'s scheme, this paper proposes an improvement scheme.Registered in the original scheme of phase,we changed the key information value calculation process, and does not directly store the key information in the database, but store after a hash function protection and compute the correlation value of an exclusive or operation,so as to make the improvement scheme can run efficiently and avoid the man-in-the-middle attack and fake attack, improved the security of the scheme.Based on Internet of Things technology,Challa et al.have proposed an authentication key protocol solution for cloud-assisted smart grid environments, and claim that their solution is resistant to a variety of known attacks. However, through analysis,we found that the scheme they proposed could not reach the session key because the identity information of the communication entity was hidden all the way.In addition, because of the fixed anonymous information used to log in each time,it can be traced by attackers. To overcome the flaws in the Challa et al.'s solution, this paper presents an improved scheme for adding dynamic identity information to every message transmitted over a public channel to enable it to achieve session keys and resist impersonation attacks. In order to reduce the computing cost,a lightweight security authentication scheme for smart grid communication is also proposed. In this scheme, only hash operation and xor operation are used, which can effectively reduce the calculation amount and communication cost of smart meters and service providers in smart grid communication. Moreover,AVISPA simulation software is used to verify the security of the scheme and calculate and compare the operation cost.
