In recent years,environmental protection and energy-saving have attracted much attention,but there are many shortcomings of street lamps in energy-saving in China.Simultaneously,most street lamps in China adopt the traditional single control mode,which cannot accurately control a certain part of lamps.In addition,the existing street lamp system requires on-site manual inspection and troubleshooting.Therefore,the failure points of street lamps cannot be found and maintained timely,which affects the accessibility of road traffic and the effectiveness of street lamps.Moreover,the traditional street lamps lack a unified management and monitoring platform,which will cause the disordered information management of the street lamp system and information resources cannot be integrated and monitored uniformly.Owing to the above situation,the paper designs a street lamp automatic monitoring system basing on the LoRa wireless communication technology.The system designs the LoRa network topology,adopting level transmitter net method and using the STM32 series MCU as the core digital processor.Then,the system collects the related parameters through the MCU street lamps and forwards the corresponding data via LoRa which cascades network routing to LoRa coordinator.At last,the system sends the data to the background management monitoring system by 4G module,meanwhile,the corresponding control command is given to monitor the street lamp.The paper designs and develops the street lamp terminal’s hardware,software system and the background management system.The weighted data fusion algorithm is improved and applied to the multi-light sensor data fusion.At the same time,the system is also designed with PWM wave dimming control and automatic fault identification.It is found that the improved fusion algorithm can effectively improve the accuracy of multi-light sensor data fusion.Under the control strategy selected in this paper,the street lamp with PWM dimming control can save about 45.74% power,while with automatic fault identification it can find the fault points and causes timely.Besides,the system can provide different control modes according to different control environments.The system’s unified management monitoring platform can carry out real-time monitoring of the street lamp system and provide visualization services of relevant data.The street lamp automatic monitoring system researched and designed in this paper is applicable to most of the road lighting and can be embedded into the existing street lamp system.The experiment proves that the system is stable and reliable and the data collection is accurate.Thus,this system can be widely used in the street lamp system as it can save electric energy and effectively improve the street lamp scientific management level.Furthermore,it has a good engineering application value and commercial promotion value.
