Experimental Research On Space Design Originating From Bawa's Architectural Thought

"Homeopathic design" is one of the characteristics of Bawa style.For the arrangement of spatial structure,Bawa has always taken presenting architectural experience as the main design means.This paper firstly introduces the influence of Geoffrey Bawa's personal experience and family environment on his later choice of architectural design,and then leads to the beginning of Bawa's architectural design.Then according to the diverse material and cultural aesthetic changes caused by different historical stages of Bawa,two major characteristics of his architectural works are summarized: one is the coexistence of architecture and environment,the other is the great regional characteristics.Through the analysis and spatial interpretation of Bawa's architectural works at each stage,we show how Bawa uses architecture to respond to the environment,the region and the history.More is analyzed emphatically in the third chapter the paper reports,for life,design methods and the understanding of space plot-arrangement,including how to present in a different way to experience more infectious sites,learn to borrow plays the technique and the combination of a series of function,experience and space element apply,to explain the meaning of architectural space,narrative fun can trigger experience story between subjective feeling of nothing;The last part of the paper is an experimental design attempt by grasping Bawa's "homeopathic design".
