As a kind of environmental-friendly transportation method,vacuum conveying has been widely used in many fields due to its advantages of high transportation efficiency,simple equipment structure and high reliability.The traditional vacuum conveying equipment mostly uses a vacuum pump as the vacuum generation device,but the ZH series Coanda ejector produced by SMC can also be used in the vacuum conveying system due to Coanda effect so that the suction flow and vacuum degree can meet the requirements.At present,there is no clear index for the selection of the two systems.Therefore,based on the two systems respectively,this paper studies the energy consumption under different working conditions and finally derives the energy consumption criteria for selecting the two systems,guiding the selection and engineering application of the vacuum conveying system.Firstly,the paper analyzes the composition of the vacuum conveying system,determines the structure of the critical equipment,calculates the system’s critical working parameters according to the subject’s requirements,and completes the design and construction of the mechanical structure part of the system.According to each component’s action sequence,a complete pneumatic and electrical control system was designed respectively for the vacuum pump and the Coanda ejector,which realizes the material conveying system’s automatic operation and lays a foundation for the subsequent energy consumption experiment.Secondly,based on the analysis of the working principle and internal structure of the vacuum pump,the vacuum pump’s power model is established in combination with the theory of thermodynamics.Based on the jet theory and the Coanda effect two-dimensional model,the Coanda ejector’s theoretical model is established,and the critical parameters affecting the power are obtained.Combined with the pressure loss model of the vacuum conveying system,the energy consumption model of the two systems is finally derived,and the concept of pneumatic power is introduced to unify the energy consumption of two systems in the same unit for analysis,which lays a theoretical foundation for the research.Finally,the energy consumption experiment platform and data acquisition system are designed.Using polypropylene particle,quartz sand and vermiculite powder as experimental material,many energy consumption experiments are carried out on the two systems under different working conditions.By analyzing and summarizing the material flow state and experimental data,the energy consumption criteria for selecting the two systems are deduced and its correctness is verified.
