Clinical Observation Of Long's Bone-setting Manipulation Combined With Muscle Energy Technique In The Treatment Of Cervical Spondylosis

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation combined with Muscle Energy Technique(MET)on cervical spondylosis of cervical type and hope to explore a new method of combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine with outstanding curative effect by analyzing the clinical effect of Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation,MET and their combination respectively.Methods: 90 patients with cervical spondylosis of cervical type were included in accordance with the strict inclusion and exclusion criteria.They were randomly divided into group A,B and C on the basis of the treatment order,30 in each group.They were respectively treated with Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation,MET,and Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation followed by MET.The clinical efficacy,Neck Disability Index(NDI),VAS score and Cervical Range of Motion(CROM)were observed.Results:1.Clinical Eff ect : the effective rates of three groups were group A(83.3%),group B(80.0%),and group C(93.1%).The clinical effect of group C was significantly better than that of group A and group B(P < 0.05);there was no significant difference between group A and group B(P > 0.05).2.NDI Score: Compared with that before treatment,the NDI score of the three groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05).Compared with the other two groups,there was statistical significance in group C(P < 0.05);compared with group B,there was statistical significance in group A(P < 0.05).3.VAS Score: Compared with that before treatment,the NAS score of the three groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05).Compared with the other two groups,there was statistical significance in group C(P < 0.05);compared with group B,there was statistical significance in group A(P < 0.05).4.CROM Evaluation: after treatment,the increment of activity in all directions in group C was significantly higher than that in group A and group B(P < 0.05);compared with group A,there was statistical significance in group B(P <0.05).Conclusion:1.Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation and MET both can improve the NDI and VAS of cervical spondylosis of cervical type.In contrast,Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation is more effective.2.Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation and MET both can improve the CROM of cervical spondylosis of cervical type.After comparison,it is found that the improvement of MET is more obvious.3.The clinical effect,NDI score,VAS score and CROM evaluation of Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation combined with MET in the treatment of cervical spondylosis of cervical type are significantly better than those of Long’s Bone Setting Manipulation or MET,which is worthy of clinical application.
