Clinical Observation Of Tongluo San Bath Combined With Mecobalamin In The Treatment Of Peripheral Neuropathy Caused By Platinum

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Tongluo San immersion bath combined with mecobalamin in the treatment of platinum-induced peripheral neuropathy.To provide a clinical basis for the treatment of platinum-induced peripheral neuropathy.Methods:from December 2019 to January 2021,the patients in the Oncology Department of Chongqing Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine were selected.A total of 74 patients with lung cancer and colorectal cancer caused by peripheral neuropathy after chemotherapy with platinum-based drugs,as well as syndrome differentiation of qi deficiency and blood stasis,cold coagulation of meridians and collaterals were randomly divided into control group and experimental group,37 cases in each group.The control group was given Mecobalamin orally,and the experimental group was given Tongluo San immersion bath combined with Mecobalamin orally.The treatment period was 14 days.The grade of peripheral neurotoxicity,the score of functional status,the change of TCM syndromes and adverse reactions of patients in the two groups before and after treatment were compared.Results:During the study,1 patient in the Experimental Group and 1 patient in the Control Group were excluded due to did not take the medicine on time.Complete Test Patients: Control Group 36 cases,Experimental Group 36 cases,a total of 72 cases.1.Comparison of the grading efficacy of peripheral neurotoxicity: in the experimental group of 36 patients,9 cases were cured,22 cases were effective and 5 cases were ineffective,and the total efficiency was 86.1%.In the control group,5 cases were cured,15 cases were effective and 16 cases were ineffective,and the total efficiency was 55.6%.The experimental group had better efficacy in improving the grading of peripheral neurotoxicity than the control group(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of functional status: after treatment,the functional status of both groups improved significantly,and the score of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).3.Comparison of curative effect of TCM syndrome:After treatment,the remission of TCM syndrome: in the experimental group,0 case was cured respectively,1 case was markedly effective,30 cases were effective,and 5cases were invalid.In the control group,0 cases were cured,0 cases were markedly effective,20 cases were effective and 16 cases were invalid.The TCM syndromes in both groups were alleviated,and the experimental group was better than the control group(P < 0.05).The experimental group improved the primary symptoms of TCM,fatigue and appetite in the secondary symptoms are more effective than the control group(P < 0.05).4.Safety comparison: no obvious adverse reactions were observed during the trial.Conclusion:Tongluo San immersion bath combined with Mecobalamin can alleviate the aggravation of peripheral neuropathy caused by platinum,improve the clinical symptoms and TCM syndromes,the efficacy is better than oral use of mecobalamin alone,no obvious adverse reactions,safe and effective,has a certain clinical application value.
