ObjectiveIn this study, healthy people were selected as the research object, using abdominal breathing as the intervention method.Blood perfusion(BP)and heart rate variability analysis(HRV)were used to compare and analyze the peripheral blood flow perfusion before and after abdominal breathing training intervention,as well as heart rate variability in different states,in order to explore the Daoqi effect of Qigong abdominal breathing training on human body.MethodsIn this study,72 employees of ENNOVA Institute of Life Science and Technology in Langfang City,Hebei Province were recruited and randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the ratio of 1:1.Abdominal breathing combined with Three-Circle Post Standing was used in the experimental group, and only Three-Circle Post Standing intervention was used in the control group. The duration of intervention was intensive training for 2 weeks,5 times/week,60 min/times,and tutoring training for 6 weeks,5 times/week,40 min/times.Laser Doppler Line Scanner(LDLS)was used to detect the peripheral blood perfusion at the tip of left middle finger before and after training.HRV was detected by MP-150 16 conductive physiological recorder, detect natural standing state before training(natural state 1,NS1)and natural standing state(natural state 2,NS2),practicing state(PS)and restoration of natural standing state(natural state 3,NS3)were detected respectively after training. When testing the practicing state, the experimental group was operated with abdominal breathing combined with Three-Circle Post Standing operation, and the control group was only operated with Three-Circle Post Standing operation. In statistical analysis, independent sample T test was used for inter-group comparison, and paired sample Ttest was used for intra-group comparison when the data conformed to normal distribution;when data did not conform to normal distribution,Mann-Whitney U test was used for inter-group comparison, and Wilcoxon test was used for intra-group comparison.Inter-group and intragroup comparisons of changes in HRV between groups and states after intervention were performed using repeated measures of ANOVA.Results1.Comparison of peripheral blood perfusion between the two groups before and after training:(1)Contrast differences between groups:Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the peripheral blood perfusion between the two groups(P>0.05),which was comparable. After intervention, the BP in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Trend changes within the group:After intervention, the BP in the experimental group was significantly increased, with statistical significance compared with that before intervention(P<0.05).Comparing the BP in the control group after intervention with that before intervention, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).2.Comparison of HRV between the two groups before and after training:(1)Contrast differences between groups:Before intervention, there was no significant difference in frequency domain and time domain indexes between the two groups(P>0.05),which was comparable. After intervention,LF,SDNN and RMSSD of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group(P<0.05).(2)Trend changes within the group:The LF,SDNN and RMSSD of the experimental group were significantly different from those before intervention(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the control group after intervention compared with that before intervention(P>0.05).3.Comparison of HRV between two groups in different states after training:(1)Contrast differences between groups:LF and SDNN of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group in three states(P<0.05).LF/HF and pNN50 of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group in PS(P<0.05).RMSSD of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group in NS2 and PS(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in HF between the experimental group and the control group in three states(P>0.05).(2)Trend changes within the group:The differences of LF and pNN50 in the experimental group between NS2 and PS,PS and NS3 were statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences of HF in the experimental group between NS2 and NS3 were statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences of LF/HF in the experimental group between NS2 and PS were statistically significant(P<0.05).The SDNN of the experimental group has no statistical difference among the three states(P>0.05).The differences of RMSSD in the experimental group between PS and NS3 were statistically significant(P<0.05).In the control group, the HRV data in frequency domain and time domain had no significant difference among the three states(P>0.05).Conclusions:The Daoqi effect of abdominal breathing training can increase the blood perfusion at the extremities of the hands, and it may promote the movement of Qi and blood in the hands. The Daoqi effect of abdominal breathing training has a great influence on the autonomic nervous function, and it can also improve the balance and sensitivity of autonomic nervous system. The reason may be that abdominal breathing drives the movement of the entire abdominal viscera, which in turn affects the changes in autonomic nerve function. The Daoqi effect of abdominal breathing training may be a holistic effect from the inside to the outside, from the viscera to the whole body.
