With the rapidly development of computer hardware and graphics algorithms,people have been able to use computer producing high quality video animation,which is familiar to every people nowadays.2.5-dimensional animation is a special animation technology between two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation.Combining the advantages of two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation,2.5-dimensional animation has less quantity of data,easily transferred via Internet and high speed of rendering.As to 2.5-dimensional cartoon animation modeling and generation technology,some articles tried to use two-dimensional vector graphics to simulate the motion in the three-dimensional world by changing texture frequently.This method is only useful for regular model such as coke bottle.To teapot this method cannot work.Besides,it cannot simulate the three-dimensional changing of arbitrary angle.Simulation three-dimensional motion of arbitrary angle in 2.5-dimensional cartoon animation usually need users inputting a large amount of information and the generation processing is complicated and cumbersome.Therefore,how to effectively establishing the 2.5-dimensional animated cartoon model to simulate the movement of the cartoon object in three-dimensional space with reducing barriers to the user becomes the important problem of 2.5-dimensional cartoon animation modeling and generation technology research.Based on existing 2.5-dimensional cartoon animation modeling and generating technology researching,we put forward a multi-view 2.5-dimensional cartoon animation modeling and generation method basing cartoon's orthgraphic view.Furthermore we firstly innovatively present introducing diffusion curve to the 2.5-dimensional folding cartoon animation which effectly enrich the display.The main work of this paper includes the following aspects:1.The pretreatment of the multi view 2.5-dimensional cartoon animation modeling basing cartoon's orthgraphic view.This processing of modeling is mainly in order to obtain appropriate three views of the cartoon object which the algorithm needed.This processing can be divided into two parts.First one is how to get appropriate three views,and the other one is how to deal with these views.Users can directly provide these three views.Interactively create these three views in the algorithm is also allowed.The algorithm obtain both small amount of effective data size and retented the characteristics of the point in the curve.Finally establish a mapping relationship between these points by dealing with cartoon's orthgraphic view.2.Getting arbitrary view of the multi view 2.5-dimensional cartoon object.The view of the arbitrary angle is mainly determined by the shading sequences of curves and the shape of these curves.Based on the idea of bilinear interpolation,we use two curves in the views interpolationing to get the target.Through analysing the change rule of vertical direction and horizontal direction of the anchor value,the occlusion between curves can be determined.This modeling and generating method has a wide range of application,and also has good editing ability.3.2.5-dimensional modeling and generation technology of folding animation based on diffusion curve.This paper introduced the diffusion curve into the 2.5-dimensional cartoon animation,which effectively making natural color transition in folding animation instead of single color.Firstly,building the model of the folding,then appoint source color of model lines,lastly,diffusing the source color of vector lines to paint the model.Introducing the method of diffusion curve makes the 2.5-dimensional animation with a complex color effects.Based on the theoretical research of the above algorithm,this paper realized the 2.5-dimensional cartoon animation modeling and generation algorithm.Through the experimental test,the results show the proposed algorithm is correct.
