Bellinsky is a literary critic of Russian revolutionary democracy in the 19 th century, his thought of literary theory has exerted a certain influence on Chinese contemporary literary theory. To understand the interaction between Bellinsky and Chinese contemporary literary theory,it is necessary to take time as a clue and divide it into three parts, starting from the three aspects of Bellinsky’s literary theory, named "People’s character" "Typical theory" and "Image thinking".The evolution of Bellinsky and Chinese contemporary literary theory has different manifestations in different periods: the introduction of Bellinsky’s literary theory from 1940 s to 1970 s laid a theoretical foundation for the establishment of Chinese contemporary literary theory; In the 1980 s,the literary theory of China reabsorbed and defined Bellinsky’s literary theory from its own specific situation. The influence of Bellinsky’s literary theory on Chinese contemporary literary theory has gradually declined since the1990 s,but it still has an enlightening effect on the construction of Chinese contemporary literary theory, and promotes the literary theory with Chinese characteristics to be based on the world.By studying the development of Bellinsky’s literary theory in China, this paper aims to help us explore the dialectical relationship and mutual influence between Bellinsky and the development of Chinese contemporary literary theory.
