Chinese language is one of the richest languages in vocabulary and synonyms,synonyms are very important element in all languages of the world,and it has a crucial role in the field of linguistics,that's why linguists has concentrate on analyzing synonyms on how they are used and demonstrating their meaning,this was the reason which arise controversy among linguists.All synonyms have related meaning between them,but,the accurate meaning makes each word differ;this constitute great challenge among learners.Synonyms constitute great difficulties for Arabic native speakers and hinder their development of target language learning and its usages correctly thus,lead to misunderstanding and affect the smooth flow of communication with others.This study consists of five chapters,first introduction in which the researcher discussed the reason behind choosing the title of the research,contents and literature review.Chapter one present Chinese language synonyms definitions and its characteristics then,Arabic and Chinese languages contrast and similarities.Chapter two present the level of Arabic knowledge of synonyms by using questionnaire distributed to Arab learners of Chinese language then results of questionnaire were analyzed.In the third chapter the researcher revealed the errors committed by Arabic native speakers when using Chinese language synonyms classifying the type of errors and analyzing the reasons of these errors.Chapter four suggest methods and tools that can be to use to teach Chinese language synonyms and it provides advice and instructions for Arab learners in this domain.
