| Taboo is a conventional prohibition of sacredness or impurity.It originated in primitive society and still has a certain degree of influence on people’s lives today.The content of the ancient Chinese taboo system is very complicated.It mainly includes time taboos,spatial taboos,language taboos,digital taboos,celestial taboos,human taboos(such as dead people and women),animal taboos,and plant taboos.Horizontal observation of the status of research in various disciplines,the study of taboos in folklore and sociology is obviously more mature,and the study of taboos in history is mostly focused on celestial taboos,language taboos(such as avoidance),etc..It is only a slight mention,It’s not systematic.This article,from the perspective of history,based on the historical materials of the relevant history books,and with the help of the relevant recent and present people’s research results,makes a historical study of the animal taboos of the tang dynasty.The special study of animal taboos in the Tang Dynasty can analyze the status of these animals in Tang people’s lives and their influence on Tang people’s lives from the perspective of taboos on the basis of combing the animals closely related to Tang people’s lives.At the same time,animal taboos reflect the general social customs and values of the Tang Dynasty.Systematic study of Tang Dynasty animal taboos can to some extent supplement the study of the social life and customs of the Tang Dynasty.In addition to the introduction part,this article will be divided into five chapters to analyze and study the Tang Dynasty animal taboos:The main content of the introduction is to comb out the current research situation and research results at home and abroad,and point out the significance,research methods,innovation points and shortcomings of this article.The first chapter explains the concept of taboo and its origin.Secondly,the paper defines the concept of animal taboo and points out the scope of the study.The second chapter,focusing on the origin of animal taboos,narrates and elucidates the concepts of "all things are alive",totem worship,and divination related to animal taboos before the Tang Dynasty,in order to trace the origin and development of taboos.Paves the way for the study of animal taboos in the Tang Dynasty.The third chapter is one of the key parts of this paper.In the history books that the author can see,the historical materials of the Tang Dynasty animal taboos are collated and summarized,and the objects and taboos of the Tang Dynasty animal taboos that appear frequently in the history books are discussed in detail.In the meantime,the present situation of the study on the worship of the crane God in the book P.3810 of the Dunhuang Document is a special case,and the subtle relationship between the animal taboos of the Tang Dynasty and the animal taboos of later generations is pointed out.The fourth chapter is the key part of this paper.Emphasis was placed on analyzing the matters related to taboos in the Tang Dynasty society,such as animal taboos in childbirth,animal taboos in medicine,animal taboos in ingredients,and animal taboos in Buddhism and Taoism.The scope of research on animal taboos was further expanded.This paper explores the animal taboos of Tang Dynasty from many angles and aspects,and enriches the research content of the article.The fifth chapter discusses the nature of animal taboos in Tang Dynasty.It mainly includes the characteristics of animal taboos in the Tang Dynasty and the functions of animal taboos in the Tang Dynasty.The last part summarizes the basic points of the article and summarizes the entire article.This article pays special attention to the animal taboos of Tang Dynasty from the perspective of history,tries to present all the contents of the animal taboos of Tang Dynasty from many angles,and highlights the historical study of taboos.At the same time,the contents,characteristics and effects of animal taboos in tang dynasty were systematically analyzed to reflect the values of tang people and their social life,and the social customs of tang dynasty were further revealed. |
