Buddhist Studies In The Linfen Area In The Middle Ages

The middle ancient times was the period of the rise and prosperity of Buddhism in Shanxi,Linfen area in the south of Shanxi Province also developed rapidly in this period.The number of monasteries is large,the activities of monks are frequent,Buddhism permeates into peopled's life,and has an impact on the social development of Linfen area.In this paper,the middle ancient Linfen area of Buddhism as the research object,and do an initial probe to the development of Linfen.Firstly,this paper discusses the development background of the middle ancient times.Secondly,this paper makes statistics on the number and distribution of temples in the middle ancient Linfen area,as well as the Buddhist monks in Linfen area.Finally,this paper will also focus on the interaction between Buddhism and ordinary people,using archeology,stone carvings and other data to analyze the characteristics of Buddhism in the folk communication,so as to comprehensively analyze the impact of Buddhism on society.In the middle ancient times,the development of Buddhism in Linfen area of Shanxi Province was closely related to politics,economy and culture.With its unique geographical advantages,Linfen Buddhism has developed rapidly,established its position in Shanxi Buddhism,and become an organic part of Shanxi Buddhism.
