Wutai Mountain is the first of four famous Buddhist mountains in China.Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, the development of Buddhism has been particularly prosperous.Under the influence of region and Buddhism,Wutai Mountain culture is unique.Historically, research on Wutaishan culture has mostly focused on the development and evolution of Buddhist history, while research on Wutaishan's literary creation, especially Wutaishan's poetry, has been weak. This article takes the Wutaishan Buddhist culture as the background, and through the study of the Tang and Song Wutaishan Buddhist poetry, excavates the emotional connotation and style characteristics behind it,in order to comprehensively and thoroughly interpret the style and features of Wutaishan Buddhist poetry in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and further explore the Wutaishan mountain culture, the interaction between religious culture and poetry and the uniqueness of Buddhist poetry in the Wutai Mountains in the Tang and Song dynasties. The full text follows the following sections:The introduction gives an overview of the significance of the topic, the research status and the research ideas. The first chapter,"Overview of Buddhist Culture of Mount Wutai",sorts out the Buddhist culture of Mount Wutai and explains the historical and cultural background of Buddhist poetry in Mount Wutai.Because Wutaishan Buddhist poetry involves Wutaishan Buddhism,Manjushri's belief in Buddhism, and Wutaishan's landscape, the first chapter introduces Wutaishan 's Buddhist culture in four parts, namely the history and geography of Wutaishan,Buddhist temples,Buddhist denominations, and Manjushri faith.Knowing these backgrounds of Buddhism can accurately select and classify the research objects. The second chapter,"Tang and Song Wutaishan Buddhist Poems",extracts and categorizes Buddhism-based poems from Wutaishan Buddhist poetry in the Tang and Song dynasties, mainly including the interpretation of Wenshu Bodhisattva's thoughts and the perception of Wutaishan Buddhist stories.Buddhism poetry emerged and developed under the background of Xuanyan poetry. This chapter explores the characteristics of Wutaishan Buddhism poetry in Tang and Song dynasties and the influence of Wutaishan Buddhism thought on poets' creation through careful reading. The third chapter,"Tang and Song Poems on Wutai Mountain",takes poetry in praise of Wutai Mountain's Buddhist culture as the research object, which can be divided into Wenshu Bodhisattva Praise,Wutai Mountain Holy Land Praise and Wutai Mountain Famous Monk Praise. The emergence of praise poetry is closely related to the social policy and the spread of "Manjushri belief" at the time. This chapter summarizes the characteristics of the praise poetry of Wutaishan in Tang and Song Dynasties through the analysis of the background and content of the poetry, and further explores the "Manjushri belief'.The influence of the integration with the mountain culture of Wutai on the poet's creation. The fourth chapter,"Tang and Song Poems of Wutai Mountain",mainly includes the farewell works in Wutai Mountain area and the poetry to the famous monks in Wutai Mountain. The poem conveys the poet's admiration for Wutai Mountain, and at the same time expresses his farewell to the teachers and friends and sincere wishes. It is worth noting that under the influence of regional culture, the sadness of parting in the farewell poems has been diluted, with a little more meditation and care for reality. The fifth chapter,"The Uniqueness of Buddhist Poetry in the Wutai Mountains of the Tang and Song Dynasties",in addition to "Wenshu Faith",its poetic imagery, poetic space, and emotional characteristics also reflect distinct regional characteristics. The images in poetry include Buddhist images, natural images, and frontier images. The Buddhist images reflect the unique Wutai Buddhist culture and create a pure and harmonious Zen environment. The natural images have the internal characteristics of"alpine",and the frontier images reflect the magnificent temperament of Wutai Mountain. These images further affect the poetic mood and poet's emotions. This makes the Wutai Mountain Buddhist poetry in Tang and Song Dynasty as a whole show an open space for poetry and a wide range of emotional qualities.
