As an extension of the traditional documentary,micro-documentary is the product driven by the marketization demand and industrialization of documentary.And,Vlog,which is characterized by documentary,personification and subjective perspective,quickly became popular in 2019 and was widely sought after by young audiences.It has its own special cultural context behind it.As a kind of documentary short video with personal expression color and real life record,the subjective perspective characteristic carried by VLOG itself is not only a kind of network innovation of first-person documentary,but also its "micro" characteristic and documentary function is the supplement and expansion of micro-documentary type.At the same time,with the emergence of various documentary short videos,network documentary programs,personal documentary short films and other pan-documentary content,the boundary of documentary is becoming more and more blurred,which requires attention from a new perspective.At present,with the change of media technology,the network development of communication mode and the multiple changes of audience level,a new media context is being constructed gradually.It is found that the "micro era",characterized by micro culture,micro media and micro expression,is the background.of vlog micro documentaries "Micro age" is born in the modern society where various media merge with each other and user forms tend to be diversified.Its visual consumption and fragmented text characteristics represent many connotations of post-modern culture,and have the dual attributes of modernity and post-modern integration.By sampling and analyzing the content and behavior of self-presentation in the VLOG characterized by "self-production",this paper finds that the target of VLOG is mainly the youth group represented by the post-90s and post-00s,and shows a trend of diversification.In terms of behavior,there are three characteristics:"daily card punching behavior","life ritual behavior" and "event recording behavior".In terms of presentation logic,it presents the characteristics of the creator's narcissistic expression,the private performance and the viewer's appeal based on the relief of life pressure,the search for group belonging and the experience of multiculturalism.In terms of content expression,it presents post-modern features such as personalized expression,fragmented recording and emotional narration.The cultural logic contains the way of cognition,production and consumption of a certain cultural phenomenon,which restricts all aspects of cultural practice.The vlog culture of "self-understanding through images" is essentially a visual consumption culture,which not only contains the self-cognition of the subject in the logic of technology and culture,but also contains the cultural practice of the subject based on consumption psychology.It not only includes the different cultural needs of the subject in the cultural logic,but also includes the consumption of "self " by the subject in the visual cultural logic.A series of activities constitute the cultural logic of "self" image production in the vlog.Vlog as a documentary video culture,has the function of revealing social problems,facing life directly and reflecting on modern culture.However,the endless pan-recording behaviors and pan-documentary contents also reflect the alienation trend of individuals and the survival dilemma of media to a certain extent,and even challenge the"authenticity" of documentaries.This requires the creators of micro-documentary and vlog to reflect and correct their understanding of documentary images with a correct attitude.
