Logo design is one of the visual communication courses,in which creative thinking is an indispensable element.Considering the problems existing in the course of logo design in secondary vocational schools and taking the advantage of mind mapping tools,this study constructs the teaching model and operation manual of mind mapping suitable for logo design course,so as to improve students' creative thinking ability.Literature research shows that: the mind map is a visual thinking tool,which can improve students' creative thinking ability when it's applied to secondary vocational education.The cultivation of students' creative thinking is the main goal of the ‘logo design'course.Based on that,this study mainly used quasi-experiment research method,and the author chose two classes as the research object,who enrolled in Graphic Design Major at Guangzhou Information Engineering Vocational School in 2018.Taking the creative logo design of ‘really cheap food' as the teaching content,different variables were that the experimental class used mind mapping tool to design logo,but the comparative class still used traditional classroom teaching method.With class observation,after-class interview and other research methods,the data of the two classes were compared.It verified that the teaching model of mind mapping was suitable for ‘logo design' course in secondary vocational school.The research content of this article is mainly based on the teaching design and teaching practice of mind mapping in secondary vocational school's ‘logo design' course.According to the result of questionnaire survey pretest,secondary vocational learning characteristics,and the actual teaching situation of the logo design course,this article structures the mind mapping teaching model for promoting creative thinking in teaching practice(MPCT for short),and illustrates detailed teaching methods and process as well as the research conclusion.Through practice,it has been proved that mind mapping teaching model makes the teaching process more complete and compact.It not only standardizes the teaching process,but also facilitates the carrying-out of project-based teaching and improves students' learning interest,professional quality and language competence.Above all,students' creative thinking ability will be gradually improved.
