The emergence and development of any art form cannot be separated from the promotion of social economy,politics and culture,so is the Chinese printmaking art.The introduction of printmaking art,the improvement of technology,the dissemination of works and the increase of practitioners all depend on the development of comprehensive social factors at that time.China printmaking from traditional to modern,and contemporary,the appearance and connotation have undergone a great change,this is the trend of The Times have also timely,is now a large number of applications in the teaching of the art course,therefore,when China printmaking education oriented more widely,advantage more highlights,it is necessary to comb and analysis of this art form in the teaching and educational background change and the significance today.The inheritance of traditional printmaking is taught by teachers and students,and the scope and mode of transmission are relatively narrow,so the understanding of printmaking is more practical.In the 20 th century,due to the rapid changes in the social and historical background,Chinese printmaking was endowed with the function of political agitation,which is also the embodiment of its practicality.On the basis of practicality,contemporary printmaking and printmaking teaching have given birth to new thinking and new methods that focus on the main body of printmaking and creation concept.The particularity of printmaking art makes it popularized in the teaching of ordinary primary and secondary schools.After the reform of the traditional teaching mode,the contemporary multi-cultural printmaking teaching,which pays equal attention to both culture and art,strives to realize the equality of artistic thought.Through printmaking,students are trained to have a more comprehensive way of thinking and practical ability,and their individuality and creativity are also respected.With the support of sociology and history,this paper combines background combing and case study to analyze and study the process and current significance of Chinese printmaking from traditional teacher to contemporary popularization.
