European Identity And European Integration Policy In Post-United Germany

Germany is at the helm of the European integration process.It has achieved reunification and its own development in the European integration process.The reason is that this has something to do with Germany's higher European identity.Identity as a social psychology concept is often used in discussions of international relations.As a kind of collective identity,European identity has also been exposed to the public with the development of European integration,and has become an indispensable aspect of the study of European integration and European policy.After the reunification of the two Germanys,Germany shouldered the heavy responsibility of European integration,actively participated in EU affairs,and made important contributions to the EU's economy,politics,security,defense,and expansion.This article adopts a literature research approach,starting with European identity,and aims to analyze the relationship between German European identity and European integration after reunification,and believe that there is a benign interaction between them.At the same time,it also believes that Germany's European identity is facing challenges.
