A Study Of Women's Images In Alice Munro's Works From The Perspective Of Lacan's Theory

Alice Munro's works take women as the main object of description,and "short escape" and "eternal compromise" are the fate that women in Munro's works cannot get rid of.Under Munro's objective and delicate writing,these women's wandering between "escape" and "compromise" presents the psychological schema of their inner desire struggle.Therefore,This paper takes Monroe's women as the research object,the subject theory in Lacan's psychoanalytic theory is used to construct the whole thesis,The relationship between female protagonists and others is interpreted from the perspective of desire,The context begins with the female constructing an illusory self-image in the mirror phase.It focuses on the construction of female's own subjectivity in the social reality and the return of women after the illusion is shattered.
