"Wen Xin Diao Long" "Wen De" Thought Research

Wen Xin Diao Long has clearly proposed the thought “Wen De” at the beginning,which shows its significance in the whole book.Sorting out this thought is essential for understanding the whole literary theory system of Wen Xin Diao Long.Therefore,the thought of “Wen De” in Wen Xin Diao Long is worth studying.The emergence of “Wen De” originated from the ancient political ideal of ruling the world with “Wen De”.In the Spring and Autumn Period,with the continuous expansion of the connotation of “Wen De”,there began to be explanations of moral conduct and literary words.Wang Chong in the Eastern Han Dynasty first expressed his ideal of literature and morality,emphasizing that the content of morality determines the form of the article.During the Wei-Jin Period,there were many discussions on the thought of “Wen De”.Great Chinese minds elaborated the thought of “Wen De” from different perspectives,and the ideological system was developed and perfected.Liu Xie inherited the tradition of “advocating literature” since he lived in Zhou Dynasty,and lamented that “literature is a great virtue.” In Zhou Dynasty,“Wen” had“heart”,which became the basic point of Liu Xie's focus on “humanity”.The work of “Wen Xin” is to explore the sage's “heart for writing”,to set rules for writing,so that the greatness of“Wen” can continue to develop.The five chapters of "the pivot of literature" make a systematic and in-depth elucidation of the thought of "Wen de" and enrich its connotation.Through the "pivot" to tie the rope,"Milun group words" and "Wende" thoughts run through the theory of style,creation,criticism and appreciation.In Liu Xie's view,many literary styles have accumulated rich moral connotations in the development practice,which can be called the form with moral significance,and its important function lies in “Bing Yao Ren Xiao”.Liu Xie regards “moral cultivation” as the value pursuit of life,“moral cultivation” takes “moral cultivation” as the first,and constantly emphasizes the decisive role of writers' moral cultivation in the creation of articles.In the theory of criticism and appreciation,Liu Xie supposed that the appreciator should be selfless,not partial to hate and love,and make a correct evaluation of the works.He refuted the conclusion that“literati have no way”,and pointed out that the ideal literati should be “Zi Cai Zhi Shi”.The thought of “Wen De” in Wen Xin Diao Long is the theoretical expression of “literary consciousness” in Wei-Jin Period and the reflection on the wicked style of writing at that time.With the continuous supplement and improvement of later scholars,the thought of “Wen De” has been further enriched and developed.It has been a tradition of Confucianism since the Pre-qin Period to attach importance to the cultivation of morality.Liu Xie's value pursuit of“immortality of morality” and his method of “learning from sages and encouraging virtue” are the inheritance and development of this tradition.
