Objective:The aim of this study is to revise the measuring implement of Family Resilience Scale for migrant family in China, and explore the impact of family resilience on sociocultural adaptation from the family system perspective and developmental perspective respectively.Method:We have three sub-research in this study. In research 1,a total of 856 migrant children from three primary schools in Jiangsu province participated in this study, whose data were used for item analysis and exploratory factor analysis.Another 306 migrant children and 314 parents participated in the research for the further confirmatory factor analysis, calibration validity analysis, and reliability analysis. In research 2,independent self-reports were collected from parent-children dyads(n=314).Both of migrant children(54.5%were boys;the children in grade four, grade five and grade six account for 24.3%,35.4%and 40.4%respectively)and their parents(Mage=38.12 years old;43.5%were father)reported their perceived family resilience and sociocultural adaptation. In research 3,the longitudinal study design was used to test the sociocultural adaptation of migrant children, lasting for a year with four time-point.The number of the four samples was 491,373,337,and 194 respectively.194 participants who participated in four data collections were used in the current study.Results:(1)The exploratory factor analysis of Family Resilience Scale of Migrant Family showed that the best model was four-factor model:family communication and problem solving, maintaining a positive outlook, family connectedness, utilizing social and economic resources. The confirmatory factor analysis indicated that four-factor model had good model fit indices(?2/df=2.05-2.51,IFI=0.81-0.91,TLI=0.80-0.90,CFI=0.81-0.91,RMSEA=0.06-0.07),showing good structural validity. The internal consistency reliability of the scale was 0.75-0.97,and split-half reliability was 0.73-0.95,indicating good reliability.(2)The results of saturated Actor-Partner Interdependence Model(APIM)showed that the actor effect of migrant children and parents were both significant(a children(c)=0.47,p<0.001;a parents(p)=0.34,p<0.001);the partner effect of parents was also significant(pp=0.09,p=0.02),but the partner effect of migrant children was notsignificant(pc=0.06,p=0.22).After adding the phantom variable(k=p/a),the results of the model were:kc(pc/ac)=0,kp(pp/ap)=0.5.(3)The results of latent growth curve model indicated that the trajectory of sociocultural adaptation was on the rise(??=6.88,p<0.001).The factor loading of slope was 0,1,0.8,and 1 in four time-point respectively.Besides, the variance of the intercept was significant(p<0.05),but the variance of the slope was nonsignificant(p=0.56).What is more, family resilience could positively and significantly predict the intercept of sociocultural adaptation's trajectory(?=0.24,p<0.001),but did not predict the slope(?=0.05,p=0.349).Conclusions:(1)The measurement index of Family Resilience Scale of Migrant Children revised from Family Resilience Assessment Scale were good among migrant children, which could be used as measuring implement for future studies of migrant children's family resilience.(2)The dyadic patterns of family resilience and sociocultural adaptation of migrant children and their parents were actor pattern and mixed pattern(partner effect is twice as much as actor effect)respectively.Family resilience of migrant children could only predict their own sociocultural adaptation, but had no influence on their parents'sociocultural adaptation.Family resilience of parents could predict both their own and their children's sociocultural adaptation.(3)The trajectory of sociocultural adaptation of migrant children was on the rise as a whole. To be specific, the trajectory was rising, then falling and then rising. There was individual difference in the starting level of sociocultural adaptation.Whereas, there was no individual difference in developmental rate.In addition, family resilience promoted the starting level of sociocultural adaptation, but had no influence on its trajectory.
