The Application Of The Time And Space Expression Of Dunhuang Story Painting In The Creation Of Traditional Chinese Painting

As time and space have been constantly discussed and pondered over by philosophers and scientists since ancient times,artists have their own special expressions.These two concepts appear as a unified view in the spatial and temporal expression of Chinese painting,and do exist some differences compared to the West.The act of painting is carried out in the two-dimensional plane in dimension,but on which the artist creates a pattern that is detached from two-dimensional space,which is vividly reflected in the frescoes of the Chinese art treasure,Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes.The simultaneous interlacement and superposition of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes thus forms an artistic feature—the integration of time and space.The writing of this paper and the creative practice of the works of ? Xing:Redemption ? are the exploration and application of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoesls' spatial and temporal expression.The author would illustrate the performance of murals in time and space from the following three aspects.The first is the processing of the layout of the picture.Different space and time can be presented in the same picture by the superposition and picture compression.The second is the expression of the modeling language.Diverse character images can be coordinated in the picture through exaggeration and deformation.And the last is the expression of color language—the objects in the picture would be interpreted by means of flat color setting and symbolic meaning.At the same time,the author's creation also shows the spatial and temporal layout of the picture from these three aspects.That is to add its subjective image to the creation,to combine different space-time elements in the same picture,and to give different objects in the picture a special meaning to express the emotion of this creation,explore and practice Dunhuang Mogao Grottoesls' space-time expression.This creation and writing also explores how to use material media to create a picture atmosphere better,and the readers would have a deeper understanding of Chinese figure rock painting.
