The Effect Of Nostalgia On Subjective Well-being. Moderating Role Of Self-construction

Nostalgia,as the longing for the past,is regarded as a kind of bittersweet emotional experience dominated by positive emotions.At present,China's economy has entered a period of rapid development,people seem to have a special attachment to the past life while enjoying the colorful and happy life of the present.They miss old friends and recall the past.Their nostalgia is sincere and warm.People are also increasingly able to feel the influence of nostalgia factors on their lives.Last several years,Through in-depth exploration of nostalgia.Specialists propose many positive effects and the positive affect of nostalgia,nostalgia can enhance positive experience,maintain emotional balance,enhance self-confidence,reinforce the connection with society,and feel more social support.nostalgic positive emotions to promote subjective well-being has a great influence.There were also differences in the extent to which nostalgia affected people with different types of nostalgia and different self-constructs.On the basis of previous theories,this paper divides the exploration of nostalgia into two directions: nostalgia tendency and nostalgia state.Through the way of integrating questionnaire and experimental research,this research discusses the effect of reminiscence on happiness of college students,and introduces self-construct as a moderating variable for analysis.A,through the nostalgia tendency scale,self construct scale(IISS)and subjective well-being scale tended to examine individual old nostalgic and collective nostalgia for the influence of subjective well-being and construct self regulation,in tended to examine whether the personal nostalgia and collective nostalgia positively predict subjective wellbeing,self construct play a regulatory role.2.The participants' immediate subjective well-being(SWB)was stronger when different nostalgic states(individual nostalgic state,group nostalgic state)were matched with their self-constructs(individual nostalgic state * independent type,group nostalgic state * interdependent type).After questionnaire collection and screening,experimental investigation and data processing,this study has concluded: collective nostalgia tendency mainly forecast subjective well-being,and self-construct up to a moderating role.The subjects who matched the nostalgic state type with the self-construct have high quality of immediate happiness.
