Taking Things As Rulers: A Study On The Aesthetics Of Life In "Changwuzhi"

Chronicles of Long Things is one of the rich resources of life aesthetics in ancient China.This paper takes the "long things" of life involved in "Long Things" as the research object,and studies the life aesthetics of "taking things as the ruler" contained in it.In combination with the influence of the gradual decline and secularization of "things" in the tradition of "objects" since the Han Dynasty on the views of scholars in the Ming Dynasty on things,and the rising trend of "long things" in the Ming Dynasty,this paper sorts out the ideological basis and material basis of Wen Zhenheng’s taking "long things" as the aesthetic object and subject in his "Records of Long Things".By Wen Zhenheng in food,clothing,shelter,and make line of aesthetic requirements and presents the "property" as a specific research,discusses the Wen Zhenheng such as food,clothing,shelter,line on the "content" of life gives its aesthetic taste,life aesthetics,the material used to enjoy up to the aesthetic height,made a distinction between themselves and the laity.The articles of clothing,food,accommodation and travel that are exclusive to oneself and the literati in the late Ming Dynasty are presented in the book.In essence,the "things" of life are used as the ruler and basis for dividing oneself with the secular people,the self-life and the secular public life.In in the offered home-cooked food,clothing,shelter,line,etc,the present meet Wen Zhenheng aesthetic "property",is essentially Wen Zhenheng follow "as" the object of "natural" and "harmonious life",the concrete practice of the two aesthetic principles and,under the two principles,Wen Zhenheng borrow his character,"" metaphor code to follow nature,and stick to his purpose;Through the harmonious arrangement of things and things,the harmonious adjustment of human body and mind and things,so that they reach the realm of harmony between man and nature and between things.These two aesthetic principles make Wen Zhenheng’s "things" in life,although people of his time can obtain the possession of the entity by imitating its form and behavior,but due to the lack of life concept and cultural restraint,it is impossible to imitate the aesthetic meaning of life behind the "things".Therefore,Wen Zhenheng constructed a kind of life aesthetics exclusive to himself and the literati "with the material as the ruler".
