Expand The Application Of Metal Foil In Fine Brushwork And Inspire My Creation

With the development of the times and the close cultural exchanges between different countries,a variety of painting materials and techniques are constantly emerging in front of painters.Among them,metal foil has been widely used in Chinese art circles for a long time.The metal foil in painting has appeared as early as in the Buddhist religious art of the Six Dynasties,mainly in the Buddhist painting and decoration.In modern times,because of its unique painting texture and artistic expression,metal foil is more and more popular in painting creation,especially in heavy color meticulous painting.The metal foil in heavy color fine brushwork painting plays an important role in creating atmosphere,enriching overall color,expanding material texture and so on,which makes painting creation more possible and expressive,and also meets the different needs of artistic creation effect.During my undergraduate and graduate study,I selectively copied Dunhuang frescoes,Yongle Palace frescoes and New Year pictures.In the process of copying,I had a great interest in the use of metal foil,so I explored the properties,effects and remanufacturing of metal foil.In the process of foil remanufacturing,theoretical analysis and self practice,I was deeply inspired,and it also provided necessary basic conditions for me to use foil in painting creation in the future.This paper describes the introduction and style of metal foil,analyzes the specific performance of metal foil in the form of painting,and analyzes how to present and use metal foil in my creation.
