At present,the buzzword "jiang zhen" is widely used in the media and daily communication.It mainly has two uses: verb-object phrase and discourse marker.Although the research on "jiang zhen" has been mentioned,it has not been carried out specifically.Based on the framework of speech act function and the combination of description and interpretation,this thesis studies the versatility of the catchword discourse marker "jiang zhen" at the interpersonal and textual levels.according to the internal relationship between the basic meaning,core function and other functions of its verb-object phrase,the evolution process of its semantic-function is discussed.In addition,it also discusses the formation mechanism and motivation of discourse marker "jiang zhen" from different angles,in order to fully reveal the coordinating factors in the process of its formation.Through this study,the thesis draws the following conclusions: first,the catchword "jiang zhen" is syntactically at the beginning of the sentence,no truth value in semantics,self-returning in pragmatics,and is colloquial in style,all of which are consistent with the previous definition of discourse markers,so it is typical of discourse markers.Second,the catchword "jiang zhen",as a discourse marker,has the versatility of both interpersonal and textual aspects.Among them,the interpersonal emphasis function gives rise to other interpersonal and textual functions.Thirdly,the formation process of the buzzword "jiang zhen" as a discourse marker is functional pragmatization and formal lexicalization.The former is endowed with emphasis function and produces functional stipulation in the case of retrospective reasoning and high-frequency use,while the latter leads to the solidification of form due to semantic falsification,but the degree of lexicalization is not high,and there are usually variants.Fourthly,the catchword "jiang zhen" as a discourse marker has mainly experienced two mechanisms: re-analysis and retrospective reasoning,and the reasons for its formation include language contact,subjectivization,disyllabic,economic principles and frequency effects.This research is two-folded in its practical enlightenment: On one hand,the study of the evolution of discourse markers should focus on multiple changes in function and form.That is to say,the evolution of "jiang zhen" as a discourse marker can be explored from the perspectives of functional pragmatization and formal lexicalization,and the lexicalization of discourse markers is unstable,allowing variants to exist.On the other hand,in the vocabulary teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,we should pay attention to the combination of the correct use of discourse markers and typical context.Because this study can provide theoretical traces to the mismatched explanation of discourse markers in form and function,and comprehensively reveals the dependence of discourse markers on context in oral English teaching,the chunking approach can be adopted in teaching,which will simplify the teaching process and improve the teaching effect more quickly. |
