Technique And Performance

Ma Shuilong is one of the most influential composers in Modern Taiwan Province.In his music creation,Ma Shuilong pursues the "sense of picture" in music.The research object of this paper is Ma Shuilong's "Peacock Flying Southeast" which was created in 1977.This work was originally based on the dance music created by long narrative poems,and then published as a symphony poem.The research ideas of this paper,starting from the composition techniques,mainly through the pitch,texture and orchestration techniques,theme,structure of the works,as the focus of rational analysis and research.From the pitch level as a starting point,and further study the way of horizontal music development,understand how the whole work forms the organic layout and internal logic in the integrated structure,study the role of various techniques in music performance.On this basis,closely combined with the narrative of the title music,through the characterization,emotional expression,the layout of the climax of the drama,narrative structure and other aspects,this paper reveals the relationship between the creative techniques and music performance,and draws relevant conclusions.
