Throughout the history of modern music in China,Yang Zhongzi is one of the countless music educators who have devoted themselves to the cause of music education.His life in music,calligraphy,seal cutting and other fields have made many achievements,is a " music educator" and "calligraphy seal cutting" dual identity.At present,Yang Zhongzi's achievements in seal cutting field have been published or collected in museums,but he was once the president of Qingmuguan National Conservatory of Music in Chongqing,h is contribution in the field of music education is little known.As an educator,Yang Zhongzi made outstanding contributions,such as establishing music department,Promoting Piano Teaching,setting up Chinese Music Teaching,Publishing Music magazine,compiling ceremony system,Planning Education Teaching,translating music materials,etc.His thought of all-round education and the spirit of nationalism run through all the time,in the turbulent and turbulent times,affected a number of early outstanding musical talents.However,such an outstanding music educator in the history of the development of modern music has not received enough attention and respect due to historical reasons.Related activities are only mentioned in the research of Music History and works,lack of systematic research.This article takes Yang Zhongzi as the research object,on the basis of literature review,data analysis,on-the-spot interview and so on,attempts to make a comprehensive combing of his activity track,the first three chapters mainly comb Yang Zhongzi's music and teaching activities in different periods according to the historical development order.The Fourth Chapter analyzes and interprets his life changes,living environment and literary hostages from the historical perspective,this paper expounds the formation and turn of Yang Zhongzi's identity as a "dual artist",and reflects on the value and function of this thesis in the Study of music history.
