On The Spatial Representation In The Paintings Of Pieter Bruegel The Elder

This paper is mainly based on the research and analysis of the representative works of Peter Bruegel to explore the basic law of oil painting space expression.Firstly,the basic concept of space is analyzed,and then the visual representation in Western painting is studied,and a track of space expression composed of real representation,perspective and color is found.Then it analyzes the spatial forms of Peter Bruegel's paintings,and finds that the main forms are the visual guide,the scene with reorganization effect and the horizon under the composition of high view point.Through the subjective application of scientific perspective and the reverence of religious "divinity" in the Netherland area,the painter created important works of Western art.At the end,it analyzes how to express the sense of space in the creation,and gives three thinking directions,namely,the judgment of experience,personal perception,and the context of the times.
