Research On Bronze Plaques In Western Yunnan

Western Yunnan is the first station for northern grassland culture to enter Yunnan.The decorative bronze plate unearthed in western Yunnan are an important link between the decorative bronze plate of the northern grassland and the decorative bronze buckle of Dian kingdom.The research on the decorative bronze plate of western Yunnan further confirms that there is a half moon shaped cultural communication zone which proposed by Mr.Tong Enzheng between the northeast and southwest of China,improves the specific transmission lines of this cultural communication zone in Yunnan,and complements the spatial gap of the influence of the decorative bronze plate of the northern grassland on the decorative bronze buckle of Dian kingdom.With that in mind,through the collection of archaeological data,it is clear that the decorative bronze plate of western Yunnan are mainly distributed in four regions,namely Northwest Yunnan,Erhai Lake,Southwest Yunnan and central Yunnan,and sorting out the geographical distribution,unearthed quantity,modeling characteristics and tomb characteristics of the decorative bronze plate of western Yunnan in four regions.On the whole,the paper analyzes the origin,popularity and decline of the decorative bronze plate of western Yunnan.On this basis,according to the modeling characteristics of the decorative bronze plate of western Yunnan,the paper divides the types of them,sorts out their development track of time and space,and outlines their communicaition routes and characteristics in western Yunnan.Taking the decorative bronze plate on the routes as the research object,the paper analyzes the origin,destination and cultural connotation of each route.The research shows that the decorative bronze plate of western Yunnan originated in the northern grassland area and the ancient Ailao area of southwest Yunnan.From the late spring and Autumn period to the early Warring States period,they converged in Erhai area and then entered Dian kingdom near Dianchi Lake via Chuxiong in Central Yunnan.The decorative bronze plate quickly integrated into the life of ancient Dian's people and realized the transformation of localization under the transformation of people's use needs and production technology.
