One of the most trending topics of the twenty-first century is the online media. While helping people obtain information, the Internet also intensifies the dissemination of homogenized information, causing people to rest on their laurels. This effect is called the echo chamber, and society needs to track this and find effective measures to circumvent it.This text is chosen from Chapter 5 of Alberto Acerbi's sociological book Cultural Evolution in the Digital Age.Combining the characteristics of the text, this report first discusses the translation of implicit information at the lexical level, such as the translation of nouns and adjectives with implicit information;Secondly, this report analyzes the structural and unit conversion between translations from the sentence level. For example,in the structural conversion, this report discusses the conversion from negative structure to affirmative structure, and the conversion from subject-prominence to topic-prominence;In the unit conversion,it discusses the conversion from discourse to sentence, and the conversion from sentence to sentence group; Finally, starting from the cohesion of text translation, this report analyzes how to manifest the semantic relations between sentences from reference and conjuction. In short, this report explores the translation strategies of sociological texts, and further analyzes how to use different translation methods to explore the authors' social attitudes in the text,so as to contribute to the translation of sociological texts and related texts.
