Both Manchu and Ainu in Japan have the tradition of Shaman belief in history.Shaman belief permeates the social life and culture of Manchu and Ainu. The study of the shamanic beliefs of these two ethnic groups is of great significance to cultural anthropology, ethnology and folklore around the world. Therefore, the research on the shamanic beliefs of the Manchu and Ainu ethnic groups has been paid more and more attention in recent years. However, few studies have linked these two ethnic groups with similar regions, beliefs, and folklore, let alone a comparative study of their shamanic beliefs. This research gap in the academic world is not only a great opportunity to fill the research gap and promote academic development, but also a difficult challenge that lacks the direct experience of predecessors and needs to open up new fields. This study intends to start from three major aspects of Manchu and Ainu shamanism belief objects, shaman and sacrificial rituals and myths and legends, using the research method of cultural anthropology,to summarize and analyze the similarities and differences between the two in these three aspects, and to analyze the similarities and differences of the two in these three aspects. From the breadth of the whole and the height of the theory,it summarizes the causes of its similarities and differences, and then analyzes the various factors and their influences that affect the shamanistic beliefs of various ethnic groups. As far as the academic research is concerned,it is not only a difficult opportunity but also a direct challenge for the predecessors to promote the development of this research field.
