Manchu Family Sacrifice Study

The home fete ceremony of Manchu refers to a kind of ancestor worship activities held by Manchu surnames based on consanguineous race.The ceremonyoriginated from Shamanism.It is a concentrated expression of Shamanism and belongs to both family religious culture and family folk culture.Through a series of reforms and specification after the Qing Dynasty,in recent years its main purpose has been to pray for the whole family peace and joy,along with the disappearance of its religious attributes.However,because of its shamanistic attributes and the rich cultural connotations,the home fete ceremony of Manchu is a good carrier for the development of folklore tourism resources.It also has a very important research valueas a living intangible cultural heritage.Furthermore,with the revival of the ceremony,recently many scholars pay more attention to the study of the home fete ceremony of Manchu,especially for its protection and inheritance.In this paper,taking Jiutai City of Jilin Province as an example,we elaborated the status of the home fete ceremony of Manchu,the specific ritual process of the ceremony,the attributes of the ceremony,the protection and inheritance of the ceremony.This article can be divided into four chapters,excluding the introduction and conclusion.The first chapter mainly elaborates the basic population distribution of Jiutai City,Jilin Province,and introduces the inheritance status of the home fete ceremony of Manchu in this area.The inheritance status of the ceremony is mainly explained from three aspects: the formal inheritance of the ceremony,the specific ritual inheritance of the ceremony,and the inheritance of the clergy.The second chapter mainly elaborates the home fete ceremony of Manchu in the Guergashirofamily,which is located in Liujia Village in Jiamai City,Jiutai City,Jilin Province.Guergashirofamily was chosen because its ceremony is relatively complete and representative.The third chapter further analysesthe relation and difference between the home fete ceremony of Manchu and shamanism,based on the discussion of the specific ritual process in the second chapter.The fourth chapter further analyses the problems in the protection and inheritance of the home fete ceremony of Manchu,based on the former three chapters.Furthermore,we put forward the corresponding strategic analysis based on the achievements and problems in the process of inheritance.
