Chinese ancient portraiture is also known as "truly depiction",most of which has a certain "practicality",bearing the social function of sacrifice,totem and remembrance.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,as new commercial cities grew and the prosperity of commodity economy,the demand for portrait painting increased and got unprecedented development,thus forming a variety of styles with the characteristics of times.Portraiture can be divided into palace portraiture,literati portraiture and plebeian portraiture according to the class of service objects.Court portraiture serves for emperors and nobles,and most painters paint according to the will of the master.Folk portrait painting is for the purpose of family memorial,so most tend to be stylized;In portraits of literati,the painter places literati in a literati situation and expresses literati's feelings through literati's things.Luo Pin,one of the "Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou",belongs to literati portrait painters,but his portraits do not rigidly follow the procedures of literati portrait painting.He not only breaks through the routine,pays attention to life,but also expresses individuality.Through the unique freehand portrait painting,Luo Pin not only wrote the image of the master,but also expressed his own aesthetic interest and pursuit.Taking portraits of Luo Pin as the research object,starting from the basic concept of portraits,combining the sponsored economic factors,and combine friends and the succession of teachings from a master to his disciples,analyzes its portrait of the modelling language,art,ink composition of metaphor in layout,and drawing information,found that the portrait the spirit behind the connotation and the meaning of the painting.
