Breton's surrealism manifesto really attracted many excellent artists to create around this topic. The poetry with surrealism flavor mentioned in it really pointed out the direction of art under the influence of this thought to a great extent.Influenced by Freud, surrealist painters began to paint dreamlike pictures. There are familiar objects in the picture, but their shapes and combinations are strange. It's reminiscent of one's own dreams and has wonderful feelings at the same time. But the spirit is still going on.If we look at the films of Tim Burton and David Lynch,we can still find the surreal elements.I want to use three chapters to study the characteristics of surrealism paintings and its impact on my personal creation, and explore the close relationship between the known and the unknown. The first chapter introduces the relationship between surrealism art and subconsciousness. The second chapter explores the surrealistic elements in Magritte's works and how to create a wonderful picture atmosphere. The last chapter is to sort out his own works of artistic creation and elaborate the impact of repetition and narrativeness on the works, and try to seek other possibilities of works along this direction.
