Mysterious And Quiet Tone

Based on the study of the tonality of Michael Borremans portrait,this paper discusses the causes and characteristics of the "mysterious" and "quiet" tonality of his portrait combined with his painting style.Starting from the analysis of the expressive language and conceptual interpretation of his works,this paper focuses on the contemporary characteristics and spiritual connotation of the use of linguistic elements in portraits.At the same time,the author studies and draws lessons from Michael Borremans ' painting technique of expression and applies it to his personal creation,so as to explore the form and technique of the theme of female Portrait series.The thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter summarizes Michael Borremans art activities and creation experience,and sorts out his means and ways of free passage and mutual integration between photography,image and painting.The second chapter expounds the application of language in his portraits,and summarizes the tonality of "mysterious" and "quiet" from the aspects of materials,techniques and ideas.The third chapter combined with the author's creative practice process,summed up their own learning in the enlightenment and inspiration.In the process of understanding his artistic experience and studying his paintings,the author feels the contemporary artistic concepts and forms presented by his works on the basis of traditional charm and skills.His unique perspective brings me a lot of inspirations,which can be used to inspire innovative thinking and practice and explore continuously in portrait painting creation.
