Since the 1890 s,the globalization of the world has made it easier for people to access the art and social and political reality under the influence of different cultures and backgrounds.Marlene Dumas,a South African artist who has lived in Amsterdam since 1978,appeared in the United States in the early 19 th century,causing a series of discussions on the themes of race,sex and death.Dumas' s contemporary themes include babies,strippers,supermodels,and people both alive and dead.These disturbing and beauteous portraits have attracted the attention of audiences who come from around the world.In the first chapter of this paper,Marlene Dumas' s life trajectory is described.Starting from Dumas' life,this paper introduces the development of Dumas' s painting,the change from collage to figurative painting,and the fundamental source of the theme contained in her works.Then it discusses her reflection and innovation of traditional painting and modern painting.The second chapter analyzes and interprets Marlene Dumas' s creation mode and painting language.This chapter is mainly divided into the following three parts: first,to explore her use and re innovation of images,and how to reinterpret the image content and metaphorize the reality through painting;second,analyze Dumas' s works from the perspective of her works: exaggerated deformation The unique style of Dumas' s painting is made up of various brushwork,strong color collocation and unique creation form.These painting features are the key step of Dumas' creation.Thirdly,in the process of his creation,it is not difficult to see that the author's personal emotional factors have been exerting a great influence on his artistic creation.This kind of factor with strong subjective spirit influences Marlene Dumas' s choice of images and the change of painting methods all the time.The third chapter summarizes the above research and analysis of Dumas' painting creation,and borrows it into his own artistic creation,and tries to analyze his own artistic creation,so as to reflect the influence of Lin Dumas on my painting creation.The content of this paper,based on the works,analyzes his painting theory and psychological process,so as to learn and draw lessons from the works.
