Analysis Of The Creative Conception And Performance Interpretation Of The Guzheng Concerto "Love In A Troubled World"

Guzheng,also known as Chinese zither,has a history of more than two thousand years as one of the traditional Chinese national musical instruments.Its bright and natural tone,and melodious tune have captivated numerous people to investigate the performance system with Guzheng as the main instrument.In the development of modern Guzheng performance and Zheng music composition,the Guzheng concerto occupies a significant position.It uses the Guzheng as the main instrument and the piano as the auxiliary instrument,discovering more potential of the Guzheng.Professor Zhanhao He,who is an exceptional talent,composed 11 Guzheng concertos,most themes focused on love,hero epics,and patriotism.Professor He portrayed various vivid images of well-known characters and told many moving and impressive historical stories throughout his musical works.This article applies the Guzheng concerto “Love in Chaos Epoch” as an example,which was created by Professor Zhanhao He in 2018.Based on interviewing with the composer and experiencing his performance,conducts a preliminary analysis of the composition background and musical structure.Additionally,with a further analysis of the melody of the music,the creative conception of emotional transformation,the use of modulation,the performance techniques,the coordination of breath and body,the emotional image expression,and so on in this work.Finally,explore the dramatic art style of the music,aiming to provide performers with a more systematic theoretical basis in order to improve music comprehension and performance ability.
