An Analysis Of The Creative Style And Performance Techniques Of The Albénice Suite "Iberia" (Volume 1)

<Suite Iberia> is one of the most mature and representative works created by Isaac Albéniz,with a total of 12 pieces in four volumes.Each piece of music deeply contains the folk customs of the Iberian Peninsula of Spain.Rich musical characteristics,change of timbre and lively music all depict the local conditions and customs of Andalusia.The whole work is full of Spanish national customs,and the composer also expresses his rich and complex homesickness with the help of the description of Spanish folk customs.The suite has beautiful melodies and different colors composed of multiple vocal parts.The musical performance of each song is closely related to the theme,such as the second song <Harbor>depicts the happy and prosperous life scene of the people in the port of Iberia Peninsula.The third song <the Eucharist Festival of Seville> is a true portrayal of traditional religious festivals.There are many changes in strength from very strong to very weak in the music,boldly pursuing the expression and innovation of the music picture.This paper mainly analyzes the three pieces of music included in <Iberia>(Volume 1).Firstly,it briefly introduces the background of the suite and composer of the <Iberia>.And then it introduces the characteristics and introduction of various musical elements of Spanish nationality in the three pieces of music,and explores the depiction of Spanish folk dance in the works.Finally,the paper focuses on the detailed analysis of the combination of different music emotions and piano playing skills with the aid of music socres,and analyzes the representative sentences in the music from the aspects of legato,staccato,multi-part and the application of piano pedal,so that we can research the fusion of the specific expression and music emotion one by one.Taking the opportunity of writing a master's thesis,and on the basis of the research results of various music characteristics in the existing Iberian suites,the author analyzes the specific performance in piano performing and the combination of different music emotions in the works to provides the corresponding reference and suggestions for the performer to play this work.
