| Shakespeare’s classic Hamlet was adapted and staged by Almeida Theatre in 2017,and it was a great success.It was recorded by BBC and spread through the Internet,which also received great attention.Looking back at the film adaptation version of Hamlet since1900 and the modern adaptation version of Hamlet with similar focus plane language,the author finds that compared with the 2017 adaptation version of Hamlet,the 17-year adaptation version of Hamlet has added complicated and changeable lens language,more prominently depicts the multiple levels of visual pleasure enjoyment,and uses a variety of media means,adding more technological means such as multimedia,monitor screen and so on to present under focus plane.And through reviewing the study of Hamlet’s drama adaptation,the author finds that although many previous studies have analyzed the combination of drama media and film media,they have not analyzed the hidden visual pleasure,the influence on people’s thinking and the crisis of change from the perspective of the characteristics of film media,and looked at its advantages and disadvantages,which is exactly the problem that this paper tries to discuss in depth.First of all,the author focuses on the carnival world constructed in the adapted version of Hamlet in 2017,which mainly includes the presentation of unrestrained square atmosphere,the continuous alternation process of the coronation ceremony represented by the king,which highlights the essence of carnival alternation spirit and constant turnover,and the fact that the drama makes different ideas and thoughts in a large-scale dialogue and unfinished state.Secondly,the author believes that movies and other mass media have influenced and even shaped the modern public’s ideas to some extent.After the 2017 drama version of Hamlet was re-recorded and reprinted by BBC,it added the characteristics similar to movie pleasure,which is in line with the expanding visual pleasure needs of the modern public,and strengthened the male imagination construction of female images to meet the male expectation.Thirdly,the author examines the pleasure generating mechanism of drama showing such a carnival world feeling from the perspective of audience’s psychological needs,and discusses it in combination with the characteristics of mass media and the psychological needs of men for women’s imaginative construction.Finally,from the perspective of the creative staff,the author analyzes the pleasure production intention of the 17-year drama adaptation of Hamlet,and analyzes the social value of pleasure writing in this unique adaptation. |
