Marion's Erotic Phenomenon is one of the few philosophical works that talk about love in a phenomenological way and perspective, but this study of the " erotic phenomenon " has not attracted enough attention in academic circles, and there are differences of understanding in existing research: does it describe narrow erotic love or universal love? Is it a description of the peculiar phenomenon of love or an allusion to a phenomenological field of love? As a result of this disagreement, there are also divergent views on the theory. This article will clarify the essence of Marion's theory of "erotic phenomenon" in detail and put forward its own evaluation of the theory.Through the analysis of the text,it will be found that Marion first leads to the erotic reduction required by the " erotic phenomenon " through the doubting of the certainty of the philosophical pursuit since Descartes, and with the thoroughness and development of the erotic reduction, the " erotic phenomenon " is the crossed phenomenon which consists in the unique signification,to which two intuition come to moor themselves. In this crossed phenomenon, the lover and the other meet as the erotic flesh and receive their flesh from the flesh of the other. The above two views are actually contained in the word "eros" at the same time, belonging to the different stages of erotic reduction, and at the end of erotic reduction, they are the same as eros. The importance of Marion's theory lies in the fact that it reveals the fundamental phenomenological field of love beyond being, showing that love is a more fundamental call than being. On the other hand, the ego as a lover can only be given when it accepts what the other gives, which also means that the ego is no longer the subject constructed object, but a l'adonné.The transformation of ego in the "erotic phenomenon" shows that Marión is still on the road to de-subjectivization of French phenomenology. However, this theory also has problems with vague concepts and missing marriage. In his analysis,Marion did not distinguish and explain the word "eros",but used it collectively to refer to the narrow meaning of erotic love and the love of the end of the erotic reduction and this vague use of the concept is also the cause of the difference in understanding. As far as marriage is concerned,Marion's problem is that he has gone beyond the level of marriage by appealing to the eternal guarantee of the love of lust to his children. This leap may be due to the reality of the West, but combining Hegel and Kierkegaard's view of marriage,it will be found that whether it is understood as an ethical entity or a religious nature,it is the only way to guarantee the eternity of love.Marion's direct exclusion of marriage from the process of erotic reduction is patently unreasonable. Therefore,Marion's theory of the " erotic phenomenon" contributed to the development of phenomenology, extending the boundaries of phenomenology to the field of love, but there were also problems such as flaws in discourse and theoretical deficiencies.
