The multiple intelligence theory advocated by the famous psychologist Howard Gardner advocates that teaching should be student-oriented,facing all students,aiming at cultivating each student's interests and specialties,and developing students' abilities in an all-round way.English homework is an indispensable part of English teaching,it is a supplement and extension of classroom teaching,and it is a follow-up force for cultivating students' multiple talents.Therefore,teachers should make full use of this part of homework to promote the all-round development of students.Guided by the multiple intelligence theory,this paper studies the design of primary school English homework.First,by collecting,classifying and arranging relevant literature on multiple intelligence theory and homework design research,this study draws on and draws on the experience and views of predecessors in English homework design,laying a solid theoretical foundation for the research of this paper;secondly,This research uses the research methods of questionnaire survey,student interviews and text analysis to comprehensively understand the current situation of the design and arrangement of students' English homework,and finds and summarizes the following homework design problems: students lack interest in homework,homework content is superficial,The form of work is single,the way of work presentation lacks gradient,and the way of work evaluation is monotonous and dictatorial.Based on the above questions,the author proposes a targeted homework design from four aspects: homework content,homework type,homework presentation and homework evaluation,and implements it in the class for two months.Finally,this research concludes that the positive impact of homework design on students is as follows: it stimulates students' interest in English learning,and gives Students have more opportunities for cooperation and cultivate their awareness and ability of active learning,which can prove that this homework design has certain effectiveness.Based on the multiple intelligence theory,taking all the students in the fourth grade of class F in a primary school in Tianjin as the research object,and based on the English textbook of the People's Education Proficient Edition,this paper discusses the application of the multiple intelligence theory in the design of primary school English homework through the research on the design of primary school English homework.Application,put forward a case of primary school English homework design guided by multiple intelligence theory.This study found that under the guidance of multiple intelligence theory,the design of English homework in primary schools can stimulate students' enthusiasm for English learning,help students' personality development,and play a good role in the development of students' creativity and practical ability enhancement.
