Jeffrey Lehman's Study Of Marxist Criminal Justice Thought

Jeffrey Reiman,as a western Marxist critic of crime and criminal justice,through a comparative study of the current situation of capitalist crime control and criminal justice system and Marxist classical theory,confirms the existence of double standards between capitalist crime control and criminal justice system from the aspects of the root of crime,the criminal and non-criminal factors of crime control,and the ideology of the criminal justice system,which results a serious injustice of justice that the rich get richer and the poor get prison.Based on Jeffrey Reiman's Marxist critical thought of crime and criminal justice,and guided by Marxist classical theory,through the analysis and comparison of the present situation of crime control and criminal justice policy under different backgrounds of capitalism and socialism,this paper holds that Jeffrey Reiman's Marxist crime and criminal justice criticism has important reference significance for the construction of the rule of law in our country.The crime and its governance of socialism and capitalism have the same purpose and method.It is necessary to reflect on the current criminology and criminal justice system in combination with sociology,politics and philosophy about China.In order to realize the great goal of ruling the country according to law in an all-round way,we need to look at it rationally.In order to deal with crime,crime and criminal policy should be fully combined with Marxist theory of criminology,enrich and perfect the current criminal justice policy,win the victory of crime governance,and promote the all-round development of ruling the country according to law.
