With the evolution of the tide of democratization in the world,the relationship between political parties and voters has an increasingly strong impact on the ruling legitimacy of political parties and their own development prospects.Faced with the complex domestic environment and the overall background of democratization,the People's Action Party of Singapore(PAP)has paid close attention to keeping in touch with and maintaining relations with the voters since its founding,which has won the trust of the voters,further consolidated its voter base and greatly improved its governing ability.Although Singapore is a city-state,it has a complex environment and special national conditions.Therefore,it is necessary and realistic to analyze the reasons for the close relationship between Singapore People's Action Party(PAP)and voters based on the specific measures taken by the PAP to get the political experience to deal with similar problems.This paper starts with the concept of party-people relationship and the relationship between political parties and voters,summarizes the characteristics of the close relationship between PAP and voters,and then analyzes the background reasons for the close relationship between PAP and voters from the perspective of time by sorting out the specific measures of the close relationship between PAP and voters.Including the national conditions in the period of weak national strength of Singapore and the electoral pressure brought by the development of political democratization,finally thinking and summarizing the effect evaluation of the close relationship between the People's Action Party and voters,and making an outlook on the party-people connection mechanism.
