Geographical Factors Study Of Violent Crime In City Z

Violent crime is not a specific crime.From the perspective of criminology,it is a general term for a type of criminal behavior that uses violence.Violent crimes seriously endanger national security,social stability,and people's happiness,and are a complex social issue.With the development of the times,it is difficult for a single subject research to deal with complex social problems.The study of geographic factors in criminal geography integrates multiple subjects,and an objective way of understanding the basic elements of violent crime is helpful to the prevention and control of violent crime.This paper uses the violent crimes in City Z and the geographic environment of City Z as raw data to construct a research model of violent crimes in City Z.Through the sorting out of cases of intentional homicide and intentional injury in City Z in recent years,through the analysis of nuclear density,spatial autocorrelation,and geographically weighted regression models in Arc GIS software,explore the geographical factors,natural geographical factors and human geography of violent crimes in City Z Factors and explain the research results in a visual way.The study found that among the eleven districts and counties of Z City,ZX County ranks first in violent crimes,and the micro-geographical location of violent crimes is in public places and victims' homes.Entertainment venues such as KTV and Internet cafes are the most frequent places for violent crimes.This also shows that the perpetrators of violent crimes are impulsive when the crime occurs,especially when the violent incidents in public places are mostly caused by the perpetrator's impulse.In terms of physical and geographic factors,based on the complex terrain and volatile climate of City Z,it is found that 12 noon-18:00 and 22:00-6 pm are the high incidence days of violent cases,December-February and June-August is the peak month for violent cases.Based on local temperature and light factors,studies have found that too cold and too hot will have an impact on violent crimes.The afternoon is a period of strong sunlight,the secretion of melatonin decreases,and people's emotions are easily impulsive.The lack of lighting at night has led to a lack of effective supervision in a dark environment,and violent incidents have occurred.The Moran's I of the correlation analysis of natural geographic factors in Z city is about 0.25,the violent crime analysis trend graph also shows the direction of violent crime,and the hotspot distribution map shows an obvious clustering trend,which shows that there is a significant correlation between violent crime and natural geographic location in Z city.In terms of human and geographical factors,based on the historical and cultural origins of City Z and special geographical factors,statistical analysis shows that most of the perpetrators in violent crimes in City Z are males,with low education levels,and most of them are farmers.Combining local historical and cultural origins and geographic factors,further analyze the correlation between violent crimes in City Z and local human and geographic factors,and build a geographically weighted regression model(GWR)to visualize demographic factors and economic factors.Demographic factors and violent crimes are presented There is a positive correlation,economic factors and violent crimes are negatively correlated,and the correlation between the two factors and violent crimes in different districts and counties of city Z is different in strength and weakness.Based on the analysis of the urban,natural and human geographical factors of violent crimes in City Z,based on the environmental prevention theory(CPTED),the characteristics of violent crimes in City Z are based on the five major areas of defense space,regionality,access control,target enhancement and activity support in principle.Take micro-geographical factors,time and space factors,technical factors,historical and cultural factors,socio-economic factors,and governance of grassroots governance factors as the starting point to conduct targeted prevention and control of violent crimes in different regions and at different times,give full play to technological advantages,and promote the rule of law Culture,rationally plan urban layout,and strengthen grassroots governance.
