Theocracy, Patriarchal Law And People-oriented: The Evolutionary Logic Of Political Legitimacy In Ancient China

Political legitimacy refers to the legitimacy of political rule,and is an important foundation and prerequisite for the existence,sustainability,stability and development of a political system.From the perspective of diachronic evolution,the characteristics of the evolution of ancient Chinese political legitimacy traditions are mainly manifested in the transformation process from "theocracy","patriarchy" to "people-based".It is of great academic value to start a comprehensive thinking on this issue.First of all,it provides ideological and cultural support from the "historical and traditional aspects" for the improvement and reconstruction of contemporary Chinese political legitimacy.Secondly,the issue of political legitimacy in ancient China is a deep-seated issue of ideology and culture,which can contribute corresponding academic wisdom to the innovation of the paradigm of the history of ancient Chinese political thought.Finally,the issue of political legitimacy is closely related to personal life as a "citizen of the country." Different legitimacy traditions show the differences in personal lifestyles in different types of political communities,and can provide academic support for people to reflect on current political life.At present,as China’s national governance enters a critical "social transition period",a series of practical issues from the social aspect have exerted certain pressure on the political level,and the transformation of individual and the entire society’s ideological concepts requires political guidance.This realistic background provides a historical opportunity for the further improvement of contemporary Chinese political legitimacy.The establishment of New China allowed the concept of "people" to replace the concept of "subjects" in traditional society.Therefore,the political legitimacy of contemporary China was constructed on a brandnew basis.The "Scientific Outlook on Development" clearly defined this foundation as "people-oriented"..The inheritance and transcendence of "people-oriented" to "peopleoriented" is the most distinctive feature of the times in the construction of political legitimacy in contemporary China,highlighting the importance of "people" as the political subject.Therefore,in the context of "social transformation",the construction of political legitimacy in China in the future should only revolve around the guiding ideology of "people-centered".
