Research On The Impact Of CSRC Administrative Punishment On The Audit Quality Of Accounting Firms In My Country

In recent years,there have been many audit failure cases of accounting firms.Due to the separation of management rights and ownership,the auditing of accounting firms,as the third party's information provider to understand the enterprise,how to ensure the audit quality is a problem worthy of attention.In addition to industry self-discipline,the government should increase administrative penalties.Although administrative penalties have been continuously upgraded and improved,violations of laws and regulations are still repeatedly prohibited.Throughout many existing studies,most of the literature studies the effect of administrative punishment from a single level of punishment,but ignores the influence of some internal factors of accounting firms on the results of administrative punishment.Relying on reputation mechanism,signaling theory,risk-oriented auditing theory and deep pocket theory,this paper adopts a combination of logical analysis and empirical analysis,and compares the three-year audit quality before and after the punishment by measuring the level of earnings management.The accounting firm of the administrative penalty is the main body of the research,and it is believed that the administrative penalty can improve the audit quality,but it is not significant.At the same time,this paper divides the influencing factors of punishment effect in detail,and conducts group test on punishment method,punishment intensity and accounting firm size.It is concluded that the difference of the above factors will affect the effectiveness of the penalty effect.Therefore,this article suggests that firms should make themselves become big and strong,improve the standards for the definition of punishment methods and punishment measures in the administrative punishment clockwork,and jointly improve the audit quality from the level of government supervision and accounting firms themselves.
